What was missed is that the force when compressed is not 75 pounds. It raised based on the design characteristics of the gas spring to as much as 50% higher. Hi well I can only assume that you have something running draining the battery you need to put an isolator switch on the batteries so when the batteries are charged and not in use turn the isolator switch on to cut all current power if you're not able to do this you need an auto electrician to do it I did mine and had no more problem this is only the one solution at the moment.
